Signal Measurement and Analysis
Many Gas Turbine companies use Mera test equipment and software. Our company uses the data obtained from the tests with the WinPOS software for validation of the DYNAMICS R4 computer simulation models.
We have developed several plug-ins that increase the information content of WinPOS output. For example it is possible to add the phase response to the usual frequency response. This frequency response analysis is does not need the engine installation of the engine phase marker.

The phase shift monitoring is added to the time domain signal which allows a more accurate natural frequencies identification. This shows the engine resonance modes in the case of absence of itd visible features in the amplitude-frequency relation.

Another plug-in has been developed in respect to the engine gearbox transmission ratios which allows immediate selection of needed harmonics to be distinguished, rotary, multiple, uxiliaries, combinational, blade related, etc.

Rotor Run-Out
Runout is one of the most interesting modes of a gas turbine. In this mode which the main vibration signal harmonics become insignificant, and the noise level becomes lower which shows the harmonics that are not found in the other modes. The first work on the vibration diagnostics by the run-out analysis carried out under the guidance of Professor Leontiev M.K., was published in 2004.
The runout analysis of the results obtained in WinPOS opens the possibility to determine the engine natural frequencies. This information allows validation of the DYNAMICS R4 computer model.
