Changes in DYNAMICS R4.8.8

  • Added auto-splitting of cylindrical shells when installing point elements and specifying [cs].
  • A command to run validation of the model’s source data has been added to the context menu of the model tree.
  • Added functionality for determining interpolated function and argument values in the variable editing dialog.
  • Added transition to related objects by double clicking on the parameter name (1st column, transition to variables, connection points, subsystems, etc.).
  • Added a dialog with simultaneous display of the stiffness and damping matrix by double clicking on the parameter name ([stiff_matrix] or [damp_matrix]) or in the element’s context menu.
  • Added the function of inserting an additional section into extended elements by double clicking the mouse.
  • An option has been added to [Assembly] with setting the visibility scope of the link connection list (local – by default, standard behavior, parent – link points from the assembly one level higher are visible, global – all link points are visible).
  • Added commands for converting beams to shells and vice versa.
  • The context menu of elements has been made dynamic, new commands have appeared for operations on current elements.
  • A command for assigning the color of the [Custom] element by the user has been added to the context menu of element visualization settings.
  • Copy and paste commands for connection settings and dimensions have been added to the connections context menu.
  • Commands for copying and connecting connection points to connections have been added to the context menu of the active element.
  • The [Add to last group] command has been added to the context menu. Adds point elements to the last used group.
  • The [Global section coordinates] command has been added to the context menu to log the coordinates of the current element in the global coordinate system.
  • The [+] button has been added to the [Natural Frequency Map] algorithm to force the rotor speeds to be displayed in the negative direction in the positive region.
  • Added saving of the last data buffer when stopping the [Nonlinear Analysis] calculation in the [process_file_save\step save and clear] mode.
  • Added the ability to move the chart area after zooming using scroll bars.
  • Fixed incorrect calculation of the energy distribution algorithm (Critical velocities) across connections in models with parameterized elements of the [Quasilinear connection] type.
  • Fixed program freezing on the [Critical speeds] algorithm for incorrectly created models when the algorithm does not converge.
  • Fixed a program crash when working with the post-processing algorithm [Rolling Bearings]. It crashed when deleting points in the history of timestamps.
  • Fixed batch output of bearing data. Simultaneous output of data on rolling elements to the clipboard for several time stamps. Data was displayed only for the last point.
  • Fixed a bug in the 3D model display functionality that sometimes caused the program to crash when rotating the model with the mouse.
  • Fixed other minor bugs in the interface.
  • New materials have been added to the help system.
